If you got to read my article about wolves and the leadership of the alphas, you know that being an alpha is not a privileged position of power, but a responsibility. And in humans, it should also be a position not only of responsibility, but of inspiration as well.

In the animal kingdom in general, the term “alpha” usually refers to the individual that stands out from the group, either by their strength, cleverness or survival skills. Those individuals usually lead the rest of the group in their search for shelter, water or food.

In humans, this concept changes.

When we speak of an alpha, we have usually refer to a man who is able to overwhelm others. I don’t like that concept very much. Mainly because I think an “alpha” should be someone who inspires, not intimidates. And fortunately, that concept of the alpha is changing, becoming more and more inspiring and worthy of admiration rather than daunting. The “alpha male” finally moves from being an aggressive figure to becoming a self-confident, skillful and responsible leader.

And I’m telling you all this because I want to talk about another concept which is less popular, but it exists.

The alpha woman.

An alpha woman or alpha female is noticeable for her initiative. She is the one who is willing to take a step forward to “test the ground” before her companions follow her steps.

An alpha woman doesn’t just have a plan, she has a goal that she will not give up.

If necessary, an alpha woman competes with others to achieve a desired goal, but she won’t do it just to maintain “a status.” That is, there is no such thing as a competition between alphas.

The alpha woman doesn’t need praise or approval, nor does she seek them. But she won’t reject those who seek support and inspiration in her.

If she has something important to say, she will say it straight away without being interrupted or cut off.

Alpha women are highly energetic, motivated and determined people who know what they want and that they deserve it. They know that it’s time to emerge from the shadow and stop apologizing for having goals of their own.

As you can see, we are not really different from an alpha woman, a woman with a strong entrepreneurial spirit, self-confident, with a great dream to fulfil and to fight for.

So how many alphas women are out there?

The Blockchain, the technology behind the OneCoin operation, began its existence being the account book of Bitcoin.
And apart from Bitcoin, there are many other cryptocurrencies, like the already mentioned OneCoin, and also many other usages.

This invention clearly has a great technological potential for the future, and it’s not surprising that everyone wants to have a piece of it and patent any discoveries that can be added.

There is a long course of innovations, improvements and experimentation from the original blockchain to what it will become in a few years. The core of the technology was made public, supposedly, by its creator. However, every change, every user has been adding some signatures, authorship and patents to it, although there are also many open-source improvements.

This means that in the near future, the blockchain technology may perhaps benefit from the race between various investigations to become the first to discover a new way of using it. But it can also be damaged, because all of those patents can slow down the progress or usability of certain new features. Whatever the case, in the near future, we will be seeing the blockchain developing, hopefully for the better, used globally by different entities and by millions of people. The technology will probably become a little part of everybody. A result of ambition, in part, of the lust for innovation and of the desire to come first to where the world is already going.

There could currently be hundreds of patents related to Blockchain improvements waiting to be accepted. And big financial companies, including banks, are not far behind, as they may become obsolete, if the use of the blockchain and cryptocurrencies becomes public and massive. So, they are looking for new ways to adapt the technology to their own services so as not be replaced.

This war for leaving one’s mark before others in this emerging technology is the clearest sign that the blockchain is going to be the main part of our technological and financial habits of the coming years.

We live in an increasingly digitized world, but that doesn’t mean it’s colder or less human. And, in fact, it’s necessary to recognize the value of the human factor in technological progress.

Technology is a tool created by people to make work easier, to learn and communicate more easily. Companies employ technology, not to replace staff, but to make their work more productive and with less difficulty; at the same time new staff is required to create, improve, manage and supervise that new technology.

And with the digital age, new forms of business arise, new forms of entertainment, communication, payments… New ways of living, in general. From the very beginning, human beings have been living in a constant change, evolution of culture, language and tools, so the change we have in front of us is nothing but a natural part of human life. We are creators of technology since our inception, and through it, we move to the next level.

But sometimes we forget it: we see everything known and familiar, everything we live with every day as natural, and then new things impress us maybe too much. But if we were not able to adapt to those changes, we would still be writing on stone. The greatest effort to adapt is made by organizations, institutions and businesses, whereas individuals simply embrace those changes when they see how they improve their lives and make them easier.

How businesses get prepared for the evolution of the digital age?

1. Adapting.
They change the way the company works. To be digital, you must develop and foster new skills. Create and encourage new ways of working, grow and improve in tune with the new era.
2. Observation and information.
Collect and study data to change or improve decision making.
3. Accept that disruption is the new standard.
Understand the new needs of society and markets and how emerging technology can supply or help with those needs. They realize the need for change and inspire people to accept that change. Disruption is caused by the needs of people in search of new solutions.
4. Accept that breaking new ground implies some risks.
Moving the business world to a digital environment means exploring new ground and therefore taking unknown risks. But be willing to face those risks and improve through experience.
